I actually took this photo at sunset a week ago today. The sky wasn't doing anything very interesting but I needed to get out of the house so I grabbed the camera and the new puppy (ten weeks old so she can't go on the ground out of the house yet but hey, we can carry her) and headed down to Nelson Bay Beach. I wasn't enthralled by anything as I was taking the photos - it was just another Nelson Bay sunset. Yesterday I should have been working but I wasn't terribly enthusiastic about that either so I decided to sort through the photos from last week. When I came across this it made me realise I had underestimated the beauty of 'just another Nelson Bay sunset'. I had a little help from the Sony A7R camera set to vivid and a little less help from the puppy (a blue merle Border Collie named June) who has a lightning fast ability when carried to hook her teeth into any part of the camera without notice. But the rippling water of Nelson Bay did it's job all on it's own without much help from me at all. The puppy, who now thinks she is legless, and I might just head back down again this afternoon.
