Meet my grandmother, Anna Zagninski (Zagninska) née Zaliwciw. The search is getting somewhere. Born in Lybokhora in the Western Ukraine, forcibly relocated to Germany in 1941 at 15 years old, her family scattered across Europe and her siblings finally resettled in Pennsylvania after the war. Story on my blog (link in bio). Looking at this photo I don’t think there’s any denying we are related but I still have so many questions. The digging continues but at least now I have places to start 🤍 #everyfamilyhasasecret

So what next? I am so excited to say I’ve been accepted to complete my PhD! My research will be on ‘Posttrauma Growth Processes and Quality of Life After Combat-Related Trauma’ (I know, I’m predictable). With my Masters all but finished I’m so looking forward to everything life brings next - work, family, research, art - change is a terrifyingly wonderful thing. I’ll also be working part time alongside an amazing, vibrant and life affirming clinical psychologist (more to come on that soon). I feel so lucky and grateful - career change done. Huge thank you to my family for believing in me and never letting me stop chasing a dream ❤️ #neversaynever #ageisjustanumber
