Wow! What a storm we had today. I was actually headed to Iris Moore Reserve at Anna Bay, Port Stephens to take photos of the whales. As I arrived at Anna Bay, however, it was clear there was something much more interesting on the horizon and that if I went for a hike I'd get very wet. Tales started to filter in of a cracker of a storm in Newcastle which was headed our way. I took this photo near the old Birubi Point cemetery just before the rain pelted down. I don't think there was lightning in the clouds but the storm had so much contrast amongst the clouds it looks a bit that way.
