What a strange day we had yesterday! I have to admit I was exhausted. Up for an early run with the dog, a weights session, all on the back of a couple of very big social days and late nights. To be honest by the time I'd had a shower all I wanted to do was rest. So I sat on the lounge and then struggled to get back up. But after I while I noticed everyone's mood plummet. It was as though the inactivity after days of frenetic pace plunged us into a collection funk. By late afternoon it was going south. So I suggested a drive. We made our way to Lemon Tree Passage, Tanilba Bay and finally Mallabula. No real plan other than to look at the water, the houses, the boats and trees. We finally found a boat ramp and an empty stretch of shoreline. I wasn't planning on taking photos but given everyone else was wandering I got it out. And oh man did nature put on a display. As the tide came in and the mozzies feasted on our blood everyone became invested in the next long exposure, cheering the camera on to capture more and more colour. In short it was both surprising and spectacular but more importantly oh so very peaceful and healing. A day ended unexpectedly well.
